Top Seeds Survive

The 12pm games turned out to be just as exciting as this morning's game between Duluth East and Cloquet, only this time, it was the top seeds surviving and moving on to the section finals.

In section 6AA, 4th seed Hopkins put a scare into top seed Minnetonka, but the Skippers moved on with an overtime goal to win the game 4-3.

Meanwhile, in Class 1A, New Prague, one of the hottest teams in the state stretched top seed Rochester Lourdes to overtime, before falling 3-2. According to reports, New Prague lost star junior Tyler Lapic to a concussion in this game.

In 7A, Duluth Marshall beat Virginia 4-1.

And Roseau cruised to the section 8AA final with an 8-0 victory over Buffalo. Technically it's another shutout for Roseau goalie Michael Lee, but it's hard to get too excited about it when the team in front of him had more goals scored than shots allowed.

Two games in a row where that's happened for Lee

Any comments on Zach Budish for this year?

I know this isn't a college hockey thread, but NOTE TO GREG SHEPPARD: Your officiating is horrible. This Anderson clown officiating Bucky/Goldy has no consistency at all. What a joke.
