Chris Heisenberg lists Green Bay(USHL)defenseman Taylor Johnson as committing to St. Cloud.
Johnson would have been a senior defenseman at White Bear Lake HS in Minnesota this year, but he instead chose to spend his senior year of high school playing in the USHL.

Don't know much about him, but welcome aboard Johnson.
Great player, good kid, he'll do real well at St. Cloud
Sorry but the gophers didn't want him.
Seems as though the Gophers don't want any metro kids these days....
he is doing very well in the ushl and he will be a very solid defensman in the WCHA.
The Gophers didn't offer a full ride.
The Don is too busy picking up wins this season, oh wait he's not doing that either. Maybe the rodents should have recuited him after all.
I love the attitude some gopher fans have, that if a kid from the metro area or Minnesota in general goes somewhere other than UMTC that the gophers did not want him. Of course there are absolutely no kids in the state of Mn that would not want to play for UMTC. What a Joke . . . just like the U of M hockey team this year.
Anyone know anything about how he plays?
He's a smaller, very offensive defenseman. He's got great hands, a good shot, quick feet, but probably needs a year or so more to develope his size and physical play.
Goofers better start recruiting some of these kids then....they look aweful.
It's funny that every recruiting thread now has someone anonymous saying that the Gophers didn't recruit a player. Then gullible dopes assume it's Gopher fans saying this, instead of trolls from other programs.
Gopher fans have in the past responded when St. Clown and Susie fans have claimed every single recruit from the state of Minnesota that they landed was coveted by the Gophers. It wasn't true in many cases and this was pointed out.
The comment before mine is exactly right. Some of you people are some gullible fools if you think it is really a Gopher fan coming on every one of these comment sections in regard to a recruit saying this stuff.
Anon 12:17, nice try but your wrong. More times than not, if a school besides the um lands a mn kid, without provocation Hammy, 444 and other gopher d-bags feel the need to let people know that the gophers weren't interested in said recruit.
It's been going on for years though it has been more prevalent lately.
Troll.
why the hell is there so many comments. The gopher fans are obviously salty that players dont want to come play for MN anymore. Just admitt it, dont say stupid shit like, Sorry but the gophers didnt want him. You dont know shit!
