Another Berge Commits to MSU

Josh Berge, the brother of Minnesota State senior Mick Berge, committed to Minnesota State for the 2010-2011 season.

Mick was the first Oklahoman to play Division I hockey. Josh would likely be the third, following Matt Donovan who will start with Denver next year.

Wasn't Arnason from Winnipeg? As Chris should know Josh Blackburn was from Oklahoma.

Technically, Arnason was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Tyler was born there while his father Chuck was playing there in the old Central Hockey League for the Oklahoma City Stars. He was raised in Winnipeg, and his family is Canadian. He has taken advantage of his US citizenship and played on a couple World Championships for the U.S.

So yes, Tyler Arnason would be the first to play Div. 1 hockey as he played for SCSU from 1998-2001.
