Few things...

-Lucia said Pat White will play wing this year, so the centers to start will probably be Schroeder, Carman, Sacchetti, and Matson.

-They only have six left-handed forwards, including Hoeffel and Stoa, so I'm guessing they won't be on the same line but will rather be the team's top two left wings.

I would think Michael Dorr (another freshman who played in the USHL) will get some regular playing time on the third or fourth line.

When Lucia has had larger numbers in the past (as opposed to the last two seasons) he's always given guys on the bottom tier of the forward group plenty of chances, so I'm sure the likes of Dorr, Joey Miller, etc. will all get their shot early in the year, though it's a little different this year in that they don't have some cupcake non-conference games to tune things up and go right into the fire against SCSU, UW, Mankato, and UNH.

I think both Dorr and Miller could see significant playing time this season. Depending on the number of Gopher players that are chosen for the World Juniors this season. This years Minnesota team should have the depth to allow their returnees to rest before playing again and then rest as needed throughout the second half.

I'm excited to see what the defensive pairings will be and if the defense will be talented enough to not have to use a forward at point on the power play.

Two weeks until the puck drops.

Can Not Wait!
