Sioux City Musketeers forward Joey Miller committed to Minnesota.
Miller will bring a nice combination of talent and grit to Minnesota's lineup. He played high school hockey at Wayzata High School with current Gophers Tony Lucia and Kevin Wehrs, as well as Ohio State linebacker James Laurinaitis. He was also a star on Wayzata's football team.

Didn't they say Stu "Dill" Bickel was going to bring grit too?
This is a reminder of near the end of Woog's tenure when three players from the same Hastings class committed. I don't recall that working out all that well.
Well Bickel brought a whole lot more grit than that Lady Binger Joe Finley did to North Dakota. When a players most memorable hit is on the Wisconsin mascot you've got a serious grit deficiency.
Congratulations to Miller on his choice. Maybe Big Joe can stick around and repeat his Lady Bing repeat.
Maine didn't want him.
Joey is a great player and great for him. He has worked hard his whole life and is able to go where he wanted. A great captin and leader and will have a great carreer as a goph
Seawolves didn't want him!
It's hilarious that the Gopher immediately has to turn and deflect blame to the Sioux when being criticized.....That's awesome...and if it were reversed, the Sioux fan would do the same....
