1993-born forward Brandon Francisco committed to Maine on Wednesday for the 2011 season. Francisco starred for the York Simcoe Express bantam team in Ontario last year with another talented player in Daniel Catenacci.
Though Francisco is now committed to Maine, he'll still likely be very heavily pursued for the 2009 OHL draft, where he has the talent to be a top pick.

Tim is a fool if he thinks this kid knows what he wants. Could be another player using the NCAA as a tool for a better package from the OHL. If he keeps his verbal good for Maine
This kid will no doubt be under a lot of pressure from the OHL (tremendous player), but have heard his parents, as well as Brandon value education and want the NCAA route. Time will tell!
Also heard that Carlos Amestoy 92 (Toronto Red Wings) has committed to Maine for 2010. Maine may have the the best recruiting class in the country for 2010 thus far.
Fairly certain the Gophers were not interested.
Lot of time to pass before these kids go to college. Just look at how some of Maine's other early recruits did this year in Jr A. One thing Maine is good for is clearing these kids out and finding another kid who can play.
I hear that Catenacci likes Maine too if he decides to go the NCAA route.

Thank you for you commet, you are right, Brandon is an excellent young man that has been brought up in a home with high values, and I can also say that whatever 'The Francisco Family' is a family that keep their word, specially his dad that believes and lives by his word. I have knowed Brandon since a child and I have no dought that he will go far in life, I wish him as well as all others the very best in his future.
Will see if that is true if the OHL dangles $18,000 to $25,000 per year or more no strings to sign

Very early to say what will happen, kid has talent but lacks in other fields, will be a better fit for the NCAA.
