Alaska freshman defenseman Jeff Penner signed with the Boston Bruins. He'll report to the Providence Bruins next week.
The expected attrition in Alaska continues, though it's not like Penner is being cast off to the wolves, since he's signing with an NHL team. He'll be on a two-way contract, but it's still a great opportunity for him.
