The WCHA Blog is reporting that Brainerd High School defenseman Drew Olson will be staying in the state by committing to play for Minnesota-Duluth. He will either join the Bulldogs next season, or in 2009.
Olson is a strong defenseman that skates well. He will likely be a mid-round draft pick in this summer's NHL draft. He was one of the top defenseman in this fall's Upper Midwest Elite League.

Let me guess....the almost .500 Gophers didn't recruit him. Even though they need a TON of help on defense.
That is correct. The gophers didn't recruit him.
They don't recruit anybody that is not on their team...we all know if the Goofers recruit someone, they can't possibly choose to play with some other sweater on.
Trolls.
