Linkorama

Minnesota recruit Aaron Ness is accelerating his schooling, meaning this will be his last year at Roseau, before joining Minnesota in 2008. As Brad points out, he's pretty old for an 11th grader, so it's not like it would be an extraordinary jump.

The Tech Hockey Blog interviewed freshman Bennett Royer.

There's a pretty crazy story here as Omaha(USHL) defenseman Will O'Neill was slated to go to New Hampshire, but had his scholarship taken away last year, and will now instead be going to Maine.

Syracuse Stars forward Jesse Brown is going to the OHL. I'm not sure if any western schools were ever in play for him, but he's a nice player.

Michigan recruit A.J. Treais is playing for the NTDP U17 this year. Maybe that isn't news, but I don't remember seeing that before.

Yes trejais was selected after the national camp in Rochester as the 11 Michigan player. For some reason with 1 assist he outshined other Minnesota forwards like Budish, Walters and Oliver. State of hoceky only has 1 rep.

Piss on Minnie.......Treais is #1 star in his Debut with NTDP tonight. He is a small guy who plays real BIG.

GO BLUE!

A couple of those Minnesota kids made it known that they wouldn't play for the NTDP if selected, which I think is part of the reason that they weren't.

This years u-17 team is looking very good early on as they beat the defending nahl champs tonight. This team could probably give the u-18s a run for the money.
