Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald reported today that Holy Angels forward Danny Mattson committed to North Dakota.
Mattson is a late '90 birthdate, meaning he will only be a high school junior next season, and is one of the state's most talented players. It's definitely a nice pick-up for the Sioux. Schlossman reported that he chose the Sioux over Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Nice pick up for North Dakota!
the Gophers didn't give him a full ride.
Neither did UW.
Duluth and Bemidji didn't think he could play college level hockey. High school coach may cut him this year.
Tech never called him back.
St. Cloud couldn't get him in academically.
UAA was too far from home...
sniff sniff.....I smell Bull$#%%!
Mankato wanted him to wait till 2011
CC wanted him to switch to defense...
Michigan wanted him to play basketball.
Nice pick up for the SUE.
The Gophs had offered him a Partial and as an Instate kid should have been enough. Too bad for them they lost this kid going to be a great College Player.
I think this kid is a special player nice to see him decide to wear the hostile and abusive logo.
He should be a solid college player.
He would have been a nice addition to any of the three teams mentioned.
he'll excel at college level just as hes done his whole life, hes a competator. Gophs passed up a great addition. he went to ND for the chicks
Michigan wanted him to play basketball??? what the ****!!!??
