The WCHA Blog reported today, by way of US Hockey Report, that Camrose Kodiaks forward Joe Colborne committed to Denver for the 2008 season.
Colborne became one of the top prospect in Alberta last season in his first season with the Kodiaks. Part of the reason for that was a growth spurt. Prior to last season, the Tri-City Americans, who own Colborne's WHL rights, listed Colborne at 5'11" 155 lbs. Colborne is now listed at 6'3" 175 lbs. He scored 48 points in 53 games last season for the Kodiaks. This summer, he was invited to attend Canada's U18 team tryout camp for the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.
