Interesting that half the team is from non-traditional hockey states.
The Central District picks for this age group from Wisc. had a rough week. The top players from the camp included IL. players Teglia, Tullis, Phillips, Calabrese, and Brickler. Kord Miller was at the camp but was a late add as he didn't tryout at Central District and didn't make the camp out of the MI tryouts. IL. is strong at the '91 level with other top players of Murphy, Smith, Bearson.
Kord Miller Did make the camp out of MAHA
I would leave you the web page But MAHA just change there website and I cant seem too find that on the site anymore
I dont want too be negative But
The selection process for the team to go on to chec was very political to say the least, there were some kids that played alot better than some that were invited.
hey, tell us the real story.......just like last year no doubt. The process is always flawed.......there are guys who they miss and those that shouldn't be there.......every year!
Go USA!

Found that page for Maha selections
Is this selection for the US Hockey under 17 team or is this some other select 17 team. I only ask because the players listed are different than the players listed on Chris H's recruiting page.
Tom
Wahoo, NE
This is just the team that is going to the Czech Republic for a tournament.
As for the selections, I don't think they were political. Even though USA Hockey looks at the Select camp, I think they also try to pick the best overall players, not just who had the best week. From that standpoint, I think they probably picked a pretty good team.
The USA website lists Brickler as the 11th player on the list
