No surprise here, but David Toews has finally made it official, er, I guess unofficial, by verbally committing to North Dakota for the 2008 season.
Toews will probably never live up to the very high standard set by his brother, but he is still an exceptional player, and a very nice pick-up for North Dakota.

who cares. He is so overrated
Saw him at a USHL tryout camp....yeah....not that big
if he's overated than that whole Shattuck team and USA Midget Major Hockey is since he led it in scoring this year. He was the leading scorer for team Manitoba and lead them to a silver medal (and scored two goals in the gold medal game) at the Canadian Winter Games this past year. He was invited to play for Canada's 18U team this past spring. His style of play is very similar to his brother. This kid is going to be a player.
Jessica Biel is on Leno, man I like her.

It seems many UND fans have unrealistic expectations due to his older brother's college performance. Chris is right about this one. Jonathan set a high standard that his younger brother is unlikely to approach in college. He is a different player and is less skilled than Jonathan but he has the same last name so I guess that means some people think it links to similar success. Let's remember, Jonathan came to college a year early due to academic acceleration and was successful. David will be playing midget hockey at the same stage. He isn't nearly as advanced a player as his older brother.
I almost feel sorry for the kid because he is seemingly being set up for a fall by the foolish expectations set by some people. One can only wonder how long it will take for UND fans to turn on this kid when he doesn't live up to those expectations. They sure turned on Brian Lee quickly.
I haven't seen anybody turn on Darcy Zajac.
The expectations have nothing to do with his last name. I don't think I need to go through his accomplishments again but since 2001-02, other players to lead Shattuck in scoring have been Tyler Ruegsegger, SIDNEY CROSBY, Zach Parise, and Jon Toews. That puts him under a pretty good class of players. Also remember that the first half of the year he had a broken wrist, if not for that, he could've easily put up over 100 points for Shattuck this year. He may not be his brother, but in response to the people that say he is overrated need to look at his individual accomplishments.
You gotta love envy and jealously and the comments produced by those shallow minds who are pained by those two emotions.
to the beat dont stop
Is David Toews as good as his brother? No way
Is David Toews overated? No way
Is Jessica Biel smoking hot? Heck yeah.....
