Second Day of the Draft

I didn't write much about the second day of the draft. I'll have more thoughts later on in the week.

For now, CSTV's Elliot Olshansky was at the draft, and I think he did a wonderful job covering it.
Round Two
Round Three
Round Four
Ruond Five
Round Six
Round Seven

Sort of odd that he kept going on and on about how Notre Dame was having the best draft because they had a player taken in each of the first 4 rounds when Michigan had a player taken in each of the first 4 rounds as well, plus another recruit in the fourth, another recruit in the 6th, and a current player in the 4th to boot.

Why is that odd? ND having that kind of a draft is quite remarkable, and a great accomplishment for their up and coming program. While UofM's representation in the draft was great too, that isn't exactly unexpected. Why don't you put your arrogant ego away for half a second and let ND have their moment to shine.

Besides, it's only the draft... not exactly the greatest predictor of college success in the world.

Still, if they're only going to use how many people got drafted where to decide who is the best, they should've said Michigan was the best. It's ok if they mentioned that ND had an exceptionally good draft, is on the rise, was pretty much even with Michigan, etc. But you shouldn't fudge/ignore facts just to make a feel-good story. Otherwise, I'll make my own newsletter where every headline is some variation on "kitten saved from tree" and "OMGPoniez!" and so many hearts and rainbows you'll think it it came from your local LGBTA chapter.
