Turris, who many scouts feel might be a couple years away from the pro game, definitely did not embarrass himself. The consensus coming into today was that he needs to add substantial weight and strength to his frame. The weight is still a necessity, but the strength seems to fall in line with other participants at his weight class. He showed excellent agility, balance well above average and handled the media like a seasoned NHL veteran.
The QMJHL held their draft. Steven Anthony, Matt Brown, and Louis Leblanc all fell a little bit due to their college interest.

The Minnesota Wild have decided not to sign former Michigan State defenseman A.J. Thelen. Thelen was a first round pick of the Wild in 2004. The Wild will get the 42nd pick in this year's draft as compensation for not signing him.
Minnesota-Duluth got a commitment from Southern Minnesota Express forward Mike Montgomery.
