The College Hockey News Blog had an interesting article today about Syracuse possibly starting varsity men's and women's hockey programs. It still has a long way to go before it becomes a reality, but it's a start in the right direction.
College Hockey News also had an article about how UMass-Lowell's future is in jeopardy. The program may have to be cut because it is costing the school too much to run the program. The biggest problem is UMass-Lowell's lease with the city's Tsongas Arena. Hopefully they get a deal worked out, because it would be a shame to see college hockey lose another team.
