APR Rates

The NCAA has released their numbers for the Academic Progress Rates. Here's some more information on what the APR is, and how it is calculated.

Basically, a team's score is calculated out of 1000, and a score of 925 or lower could be subject to penalties eventually. This is only the third year, so teams that fall below the 925 mark can benefit from a "squad-size adjustment," meaning they won't face penalties this year.

For the third straight year, college hockey did very well. The overall NCAA average was 970, with only two programs, Alaska-Anchorage and RIT falling below the 925 mark. Harvard, Yale, RPI, Holy Cross, and Sacred Heart all had perfect scores of 1000.
