Alaska has announced four finalists for their coaching search that will interview in Fairbanks for the position. They are:
Wade Klippenstein, assistant coach, Alaska
Doc DelCastillo, assistant coach, Nebraska-Omaha
Eric Rud, assistant coach, St. Cloud
Kevin Patrick, assistant coach, Wisconsin

ANyone know anything about these guys? Don't care much about UAF, but I'm always interested in the comings and goings.
Heard alot about DeCastillo, but that's about it.
Eric Rud played at CC
Was WCHA defensive player of the year
He was assistant coach as CC went to the Frozen four a couple years ago - filling in for another coach who was in a car accident
Seemed to help the D a lot and was an excellent replacement
Calm with a fire inside
Assistant at St Cloud two years now
I would like to see him as head coach at CC in a few years

It is good to see American coaches as finalists. Alaska needs to do a better job of recruiting more American players.
