Brett Motherwell was done using this stick anyway.
As someone who used to coach tennis, I must say that the technique is nearly flawless.

pretty classy i must say
Better than that was Brian Boyle,....who broke his stick over the top of his own head.
Oh geez, leave the kid alone. They just lost the biggest game of their lives for the second year in a row. Busting a stick doesen't show a lack of class to me, it shows the kid is devastated taht they just lost a huge game. I think its pretty benign.
they teach you in peewees to never slam your stick on the ice or against anything.....its poor sportsmanship, it shows anger, not dissapointment
The real beauty is on how the 2 changes to a 3 on the scoreboard right at the time of contact.
he deserved to feel angry, its not pee wees.
How many of you criticizing him have ever lost a game of this magnitude, let had any involvement at all in a game of this type of magnitude.
I'd suspect the same fans that criticize the kid have never swore at a game or verbally criticized an official either, because of their high regards to class....
If he wants so spend 240.00 that way that's fine with me.
Goon - I think the school is paying for that stick...not him.
anyone who says that was classless is completly oblivious to, one the magnitude, and two the dedication that is being coveyed through this action. Motherwell is one of the hardest competing players around college hockey, and I see nothing wrong with his actions!
