Minnesota State defenseman Steve Wagner has signed with the St. Louis Blues and will be joining their AHL affiliate in Peoria.
Wagner had a great year for the Mavericks. He led the WCHA in defenseman scoring in conference play, and averaged about 30 minutes of ice time per night. It is a tough loss for the Mavericks, though not one that was necessarily unexpected.
