Team Canada's Roster Announced

Here's the press release and here's the roster.

Cogliano, Bertram, and Toews are all on the team, as expected. Sam Gagner and Karl Alzner are the only two 2007 draft eligible players on the team.

No Turris? Was he ineligible?

Turris was technically eligible, but Canada is way, way too deep for him to get much of a look. Like I said, it was just the two guys that were draft eligible that made the team, and they're both top 5 picks.

I'd say Turris will be a great candidate the next two seasons.
