Benilde-St. Margaret's defenseman Chris Student will be a Husky in two or three years. But he won't be playing for St. Cloud State or Michigan Tech. Instead, he'll be wearing the red and black of the Northeastern Huskies in Boston.
Student gave himself an early Christmas present by committing to Northeastern days before the Christmas holiday. He is an excellent defenseman that doesn't have a lot of size, but if a great skater and makes excellent decisions with the puck. He plays an honest, nearly mistake-free style of game. It's a nice pick-up by Northeastern to steal one of the talented 1990-born defenseman out of Minnesota.
