Gaul Commits to Notre Dame

Notre Dame coach Jeff Jackson picked up another huge commitment, this time for 2008, when he got a commitment from NTDP forward Pat Gaul. Gaul played for the Pittsbrugh Hornets hockey club and is considered one of the best forwards in his age group. This is an excellent commitment for Notre Dame, who really seems to be turning things around with a number of high-profile recruits.

Also, I had posted about Danny Kristo visiting Minnesota earlier, but it looks like he'll play for North Dakota. I got an email indicating the same thing, so it sounds true. If it is, that's a very nice pick-up for North Dakota.

Interesting. I don't know much about Gaul but I hope to see him play at some point this season. If ND ever commits to actually building a new arena/upgrading the Joyce, look out.
