A guy named Drew that has worn green and white the past three seasons has signed a professional contract. But it's not the guy you're thinking of.
Drew Miller, the captain of the Michigan State Spartans last season, has signed a contract with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. Miller was a 6th round pick of the Ducks in 2003. For as much as Miller did on the ice for the Spartans, he did just as much off the ice, twice being nominated for the college hockey's prestigious Humanitarian Award.
Miller will start playing immediately for the Ducks AHL affiliate in the playoffs.
