The Ted Brill Great 8 Festival took place in South St. Paul this weekend, and I was able to make it to the games on Friday and Saturday. The Great 8 Festival is a tournament featuring 8 senior all-star teams from each section in Minnesota.
There were scouts from all levels of play watching the event. I saw Bob Motzko, Troy Jutting, Gopher assistant Mike Guetzel, and people from UMass, Army, as well as a bunch of D-III schools. There were also a lot of NHL scouts from most every team, and a lot of junior scouts.
I tried to take notes on a lot of players, and I ended up with notes on about 32 players, so instead of one gigantic post, I'm going to make it into three seperate posts.
