College Hockey's Greatest Novels

With all apologies to writers like Ross Bernstein and John Bacon who wrote fabulous hockey books, I humbly present to you some of my favorite stories that talk about college hockey.

The Da Vinci Code- A professor is called to investigate Red Berenson’s secret for recruiting Canadians of Italian-descent.

Middlemarch- A tale about the time every year when Northern Michigan’s season ends.

1984-Bowling Green reminiscences about the good ole days

A Tale of Two Cities- The story of the rivalry between Alaska-Fairbanks and Alaska-Anchorage

“Things to Do in Denver When Your Home Ice Dreams are Dead”- Technically a song, but I had to find a way to work Minnesota State in.

Paradise Lost- Lake Superior State after Jeff Jackson’s departure

Paradise Regained- Lake Superior State after Jim Roque’s hire

Invisible Man- Scott Parse’s quest for the Hobey Baker Award

Into Thin Air- A weekend series in Colorado Springs

A Modest Proposal- Ford Field’s bid for the 2010 Frozen Four

Things Fall Apart- A season with the Wisconsin Badgers

Waiting for Godot- That first NCAA tourney win is gonna be here any time now, St. Cloud fans

Spring Break Maize

The underwhelming story of Mishitgan hockey and their "early" departures in the spring of each year.

.....GASP............

I was 7 last time Michigan's season ended with more than 3 total games left to be played in the college hockey season, and I've got no time to bore myself with ancient histories.
