NTDP defenseman John Ramage committed to Wisconsin. Defense is an area that Wisconsin isn't actually overloaded with prospects. Only Justin Schultz is scheduled to come in next year, and it's pretty plausible that the Badgers will be losing a couple blueliners to the pros.
Also, Anchorage reportedly got a commitment from '92 Joe Giordano. He's the second '92 birthdate UAA has recruited this year.
Providence continued their run of taking Minnesota HS players, by picking up a commitment from Lakeville South's Bill Simon. Simon had a pretty nice Elite League run this year.

Wisconsin got a great kid in Ramage. He is tough as nails and will help this club.
Good luck!
Wisconsin in need of D? Only because of De-commits. Prior and Weircoch telling them they won't be arriving in 2009, make the possiblity of them being short on D, but only if McB and McD go pro, if both decide they are committed to getting their education they will be long on D and short on scholarship money. Only graduate Connelly and Goro with scholarships as Street looks to come back for another year.
Ramage is just what Sconnie needs. A defensive d-men.
two things on Wisc. getting Ramage: first why do they commit to 14 year olds when they can get a top end D in December of his senior year and second why commit to 14 year olds when time determines if they are the player that Wisconsin wants? Look at the Hickey delay and no play, the Montpetit and Erstad delays and no shows and the rest of the Wisconsin recruiting mess-ups. Looks like they need to re-think their recruiting strategies.
