More on Lucia/Two-Sport Athletes

Don Lucia was on the radio in Minneapolis today, and clarified some of his comments on players playing both hockey and football. You can download the interview here.

Like I said yesterday, whether Lucia's quotes in the paper were taken out of context, or his opinion changed between then and now, or whatever, his stance here seems pretty reasonable.

Hey, it's better to get hurt in a football game than to break three fingers and almost chop off your hand in a snowblower, a la Joe Sakic yesterday.

No kidding. Hey Joe, you're a millionaire many times over - hire a neighborhood kid to shovel for you for chrissakes:/

So, would Lucia prevent Erik Johnson from riding in a golf cart?

Are you serious? That was a freak accident. Injuries are far from uncommon in football. He is suggesting taking away forseeable risks. So...you're dumb.

7:45...That was sarcasm or humor he suggesting. You're a moron.

Lucia back tracked big time after getting criticism. He lost all credibility ... if he had any to begin with.
