It's looking like a better crowd for the second game, but still not great. I don't think that many people from the first game stuck around for the second game.
I wasn't sure in the first game, but I can tell now that the host schools brought their own PA announcers, which is a nice touch. Minnesota State has a small, but vocal contingent of about 20 students here which is nice. They greeted the Gophers with a spirited, if not vulgar, cheer.
Minnesota State needs to keep up the momentum they had in the third period of last night's game. If they can put together three periods like that, they've got a good chance. If they play like they did in the second period, Minnesota will probably win.
Minnesota played a pretty solid game last night, but has to solve Mike Zacharias in net.
