Former Michigan football player("player") Mike Milano was charged with one count of assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder and one count of aggravated assault, for an incident which left Michigan hockey player Steve Kampfer with serious injuries.
Earlier this week, Kampfer filed for a restraining order against Milano, but it was denied, as restraining orders require repeated harassment.

I am no lawyer, but can someone who knows more explain to me why it takes a repeat harassment to get a restraining order on a guy who just beat the crap out of you once?
Any prior violent act upon your person or property, even if it is only once, should qualify the victim of placing a restraining order on the attacker/aggressor. Just my opinion.
I'm guessing the Michigan Football Boosters are starting to turn up the heat. It's their worst finish is school history, not making a bowl game for the first time in 34 years, and their players can't behave off the field.
RW77, When the young man is arrested and arraigned on the charges, part of the arraignment/bond will be that the alleged suspect cannot have any contact with the victim. If he does, that would violate his bond and he would go to jail. There would be no reason for the suspect to make contact with the victim, it would only make things worse for him.

Thanks for clearing that up.
I'm guessing most Michigan Football Boosters aren't even aware there was an incident.
Michigan has a football team?? I thought they folded after last season.
I love lamp!
Kampfer could always buy a gun and obtain a right to carry permit. Guns are much more effective than a piece of paper as far as personal protection goes.
how long is Kampfer out for; what are the extent of his injuries ? this asshole probably won't go to jail, hopefully, he'll at least end up with a big mark on his record.
Mike Milano was a bully in high
school and his father the criminal
lawyer always bailed him out of trouble.See if his father makes a
deal to save him behind the scenes
