Blaine HS forward Nick Bjugstad committed to Minnesota. Bjugstad was a freshmen last season, so the earliest he could join Minnesota would be 2011.
Bjugstad will obviously still need a lot of development, but he showed some amazing potential last season with Blaine, and has the potential to develop into a big-time goal scorer as he matures and fills out.

I get it now . . . The Gophers are going to try and win a national championship by recruiting every single D-1 caliber player forcing their opposition to forfeit every game, because they don't have enough players on their team to compete!
Yep, good assesment. You are a great hockey mind.
Subtracting this years recruits, by my count, Minnesota has two less commitments than does Wisconsin.
I love how anon 3:28 has to subtract the eleven 2008 recruits to make a point. Lol.
Let's see the Gophers lost O'Brien, Okposo, Frazee, Wheeler, and Bickel early to the pros. Gordon, Peltier, Howe, Kaufmann, Solei, and Pohl graduated. Taking Solei off the list (practice goalie), that means the Gophers are bringing in one more player than they lost.
Stop the Presses!
I know you need to hate, but at least make an attempt at rationality.
bjugstad is unbelievable i played a peewee last year for blaine and went to some of the games last year and he dominated for a 9th grader
