Alt Commits to Minnesota

Cretin-Derham Hall defenseman Mark Alt committed to Minnesota this past weekend.

He's the son of NFL lineman/Madden '97 Create-a-team staple John Alt(though the O-line was never that important since you couldn't run between the tackles anyway). Alt was the second overall selection by the Chicago Steel in last fall's USHL Future's Draft. He's a big kid, listed at 6'4", with a lot of potential.

So, he committed to Minnesota. Did you have to call him a cretin? :)

Wait I thought the top end CDH kids did not go to Minnesota, Mauer, Walsh, Ryan Harris, Floyd, McDonagh...must not be a top end kid. Hell the CHL did not even want him...or they would have gotten him because they get every kid they want because the CHL is so vastly superior.

Normally the CDH go to the Drunkin Sconi's! Nice pick up for the Gophers.

The Sue didn't want him

Mankato didn't want him...

Will be a football player at a big time D1 college, so he will probably see no ice time with the Maroon and Gold. Would be a great addition to a lackluster program though.

I am sure No Dak didnt want him as much as they didn't want Danny Irmen and Ryan Potulny, Mankato obviously passed because of his intellegence level. Get a clue losers...

anon 2:56....if anyone needs to get a clue, it's you. this is one of the oldest running lines on the site when a recruit commits.....

Besides that, it's widely known that UND was recruiting him...

And here you thought you were posting something intelligent...sorry to burst your bubble.
