Question for you Chris.
I do not ever recall such a flight of talent from college hockey to the pros, and it is not even the end of spring yet!
Do you see changes coming in the way colleges recruit?
Personally, I think it has to do with so many players playing two or three years of junior hockey before coming to college. If you're serious about a pro career it's in your best interest to not wait until your 25 years old to turn pro. If you figure most players spend two or three years in the minors before making to the NHL what are the odds that a team in the NHL wants a 28 year old rookie?
I think this is why you are seeing the #4 seeds starting to get some wins over the #1 seeds in regionals. A lot of these #4 seeds are schools that traditionally don't have a lot of kids that leave early, and their four year talent is able to compete with the younger players at other schools.
His brother was supposed to be great, too. Peter left BG after one season and has bounced back and forth between Europe and the AHL ever since.
Philly has a bunch of young talent coming there way . . . they need all the help they can get apparently.
Some kids think they will play forever and the heck with an education. One less child for RC to worry about.
MSU got a nice D-man in Matt Crandell over the weekend...wish he woulda been a Husky.
where's the news about Crandell Published, can't find it?
I haven't seen anything published yet...I just heard it through the hockey circles in St. Cloud Sunday morning...
Crandell committed to Michigan State per Kevin Allesnpach of the St. Cloud Times.
I'll have a post up about that and some other commitments later tonight.
