In a move that wasn't all that surprising, Minnesota goalie Jeff Frazee signed with the New Jersey Devils.
Frazee's career at Minnesota has to be considered a disappointment given how highly touted he was coming into school, and his career will probably always be defined by a few big mistakes, like his last game in St. Cloud or Robbie Bina's long goal against him, but the article does highlight what a classy kid he was throughout the whole thing. I think everyone agreed he was due for a change of scenery, and maybe now that he's a professional, he can get back to playing the type of hockey he is capable of, and have a long and successful career.

Very odd career. Stunk at Minnesota, but always reliable in international play.
He was my favorite Gopher! Probably the best player on our team when we play them...GO SIOUX
Good luck, Jeff.
Has potential, just has to play up to it. Might be what he needs. Go Sioux!
It's hard not to root for Frazee. Good kid, handled the tough times well, and was subject to a lot of scrutiny. Unfortunately he'll likely be remembered for his blunders. Regardless, time for him to wipe the slate clean. Good luck to him with the Devils.
How many "complimentary" long island iced teas were part of his signing bonus?
Good luck to Frazee. I'm sure if properly handled in the NJ system he will have a great career. Personally I didn't like the way Frazee was treated this season. Imagine if other players were benched for a entire 1/2 season based on a one game performance. Kangas got the better team efforts and also struggled at times early but really shut the door on Frazee's playing time about Mar 1st. A good move by NJ to get him out of there. I suspect the mishandling of Frazee will haunt Minnesota at some point next season. Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket.
who do the gophers bring in to back up Frazee now?
Kangas is so Chuck Norris like, that he don't need no stinking backup. Coach Lucy is considering playing only one Dman at a time to try to keep things fair since Kangasieve is so awesome.
That's great! the Lowell devils could use a door man! Kanglesieve being sooo "Chuck Norris like", sure the guys got size and he can move quick, but it's going to take more than him to turn the Gophers around. He is only part of the defensive backbone UM completely lacks.
