Berenson Wins Penrose

Michigan coach Red Berenson won this year's Spencer Penrose Award as the nation's top coach.

This is the first time Berenson has won the award, which is a little surprising given how successful he has been in his 24 year career at Michigan. He also becomes the first coach to be named Coach of the Year at the NCAA and NHL level.

Congratulations to Red. Well deserved for this year (and for years past). I wanted Red to get another title this year but he might get another shot next year (depending on departures).
