2011 Recruiting Boards

With the first 2011 recruit committing to a college, I've decided to release my 2011 Recruiting Board. It's a little bare right now, for obvious reasons, but it's a start.

All of the other boards are in need of serious updating since I didn't really keep up with it during the season. Now that it's the offseason, I'll be working on getting those back up to date.

Good list, I have most of them on my 1992 and 1992 lists. How do you know those Canadians mentioned are looking to go the college route? Also, the Minnesota bantams, is that from scouting them at Minnesota Selects?

Brett Benson-Weyburn
Max Birkinbine-White Bear Lake(MN) Bantam-
Craig Duinick-St. Cloud(MN) Bantam
Dan Carlson-Maple Grove Bantam-
Justin Sefton-Notre Dame Prep

Just wondering when you are going to update your '08, '09 and 2010 boards. Keep up the good work.

Michael St. Croix is almost definitely going the WHL route. He sounded excited about being a possible #1 selection for the WHL draft and thinks it's best for his development. (Source: Hockeyprospect.com)

You mean St Criox doesn't want to go play for the Sue and lose the first game of the frozen four every year? Maybe Ambroz will want to do that, or perhaps he wants to get knocked out in the first game of the regional tournament wearing the "treassured M" jersey?

Or maybe he wants to be one of the other wcha teams so he can sniff the sioux and gopher jocks and hope that they may get a chance to play in the frozen four

If he is interested in actually winning in the tourney and playing in the WCHA, Denver or Wisconsin make more sense than the rodents or Sue, but not everyone is smart enough to figure that out.

Also wanted to point out that judging by Shane McColgan's myspace, and the fact that he will be offered a full-ride scholarship from a WHL GM since he's a blue-chip prospect, he's probably going the WHL route, hence why he's uncommitted to a NCAA college. He also has friends in the dub....This is not for certain but a good possibility.

Here are some solid players I would add...

D.J. Jones-Wayzata Bantam-Small, but quick. (Defense)

Andrew Ford-Eden Prairie Bantam-Lots of interest from USHL teams. (Goaltender)

Kyle Rau-Eden Prairie Bantam-Most hyped Bantam moving up to high school. Brother Chad Rau at Colorado College. (Forward)

One player i'm trying to get on the board is Dalton Spicer. A defensemen from Grand Forks, ND. He plays the game very well. He's planning on playing in Fargo of the new expansion team of the USHL next year. He's on the radar of a lot scouts. He has intrest in Minnesota-Duluth, UND, and Minnesota.

I was a little suprised that Grimaldi and the big new d-man for the Caesar's didn't make the list.
