Mike Chambers at the Denver Post reported today that Denver will wait at least another day before saying if Brock Trotter will remain on the Pioneers team. The news is unlikely to be good, however, as sources have informed me that Trotter has left Denver, and won't be returning. There's still no indication on what caused the departure.
Trotter was leading the Pioneers in scoring with 31 points this season, but did not travel with the team last weekend on their trip to Mankato.

holy Okposo, what's going on?
That was good!!
blame it on the sioux, as everyone else does...including the author of this blog. Trotter Okposo'd DU, that sucks!
We don't blame everything on the sue. But sue fans sure are the biggest crybabies. Keep em coming!
If Trotter does leave DU, it will very likey be because he was either asked to leave school or he would be suspended for such a long period of time that he'd prefer to continue his hockey career elsewhere. It won't be because some NHL team tempted him to leave school, a la Okposo.
I doubt we'll ever know the whole story, but it would be nice to know what a kid could do to deserve this, not saying it's not justified, I'd just like to know what could cause it.
Duke Lax.
The rumors, innuendo, etc are all BS. Any "source" at the university, provided they are credible, is not going to speak about the situation to anyone in the general public. There are likely administrative issues, and at the very least privacy issues, that need to be addressed.
I find it very difficult to believe anyone on this blog or any other has "confirmation" of anything. Furthermore, the public has no right/privelege to know the details. Whateve DU chooses to disclose, so be it.
he got cheating on his finals, wow, crazy............
He found out that Schimdt isn't going to ref anymore DU games, so no more free goals, so why not move on.
Gophers didn't want him.
neither did SCSU
i wonder why this heading is posted since there hasn't been an official announcement yet. kinda lame in my book.
He got caugt slipping a WCHA official a hat full of money to decide the outcome of this weekends series only to find out the officials are already owned by the opponent.
If he was caught cheating, St. Clown would like to offer him a scholarship. Assuming he can pass the rigorous entrance exam of writing your name and choosing the correct jacket, Arctic Cat or Polaris.
Hint to future applicants, on the jacket question there is no wrong answer.
And at the U of M, you just have somebody named Gangelhof type your papers.
She's dead, stupid.
