Color Me More Surprised

This is always my favorite weekly segment.

I'm pretty sure Denver is totally at fault here, because North Dakota has been involved in three other fights this year that have resulted in game DQs, and the other team was totally responsible for starting it in every instance. The poor Sioux have to be the unluckiest team in the world.

Most of the blame falls on referee Marco Hunt for allowing Kyle Radke to stay in the game. Radke caught DU's J.P. Testwuide with a nice spear about midway through the second. Testwuide retaliated with a slash, and the two fought. Now common sense would dictate that if two players drop their gloves, take off their helmets, and throw punches, it would be considered a fight. Apparently not though, and that wise decision paid off at the end of the period when Radke came out of the box and picked a fight with Brandon Vossberg to turn some post-period pushing and shoving into another embarrassing fight for the WCHA.

The thing you don't mention was the cross check oshie got in du earlyer in the year. He left the bench area in pain and played hurt for a month after the no call cross check. That was what it is about. oh ya then there is Jeff punkavitch

Unknown said...

and it was the sioux's fault in the minnesota game when at the end somebody wen't knee-on-knee on oshie. the sioux play a physical game and it gets under other teams' skin.

Anonymous said...

When the sioux retaliate they get bashed for it. When the other team retaliates to what the sioux do they get bashed for it. How does that work? But you can say all u want about the sioux being goons and all that crap. But what you cant knock is that whatever they are doing they are 11-0-1 in that stretch and it seems to be working.

You also conveniently leave out the shot that Finley took by Mannino after the period was over then about 5 DU players jumping Genoway that started the whole thing. Once again please at least watch what happens before you pass your shitty one sided judgments.

Let's see:

UW vs. UND- fights break out
UW vs. Denver-clean games
Minn. vs. UW- clean games for most
Minn vs. UND- fights break out
Denver vs. Minn.- clean games
Denver vs. UND- fights break out

Anybody see a common denominator?

lET ME DUMB IT DOWN FOR YOU. SHEPTURD HAS SENT A LOUD AND CLEAR MESSAGE THAT IF YOU BREAK A NORTH DAKOTA PLAYERS NECK BY CHECKING HIM FROM BEHIND. WE WON'T EVEN CALL A 2 MINUTE PENALTY UNTIL THE STRECHER COMES OUT. THEY HAVE LEARNED NO ONE WILL PROTECT THEM ON THE ICE EXCEPT FOR THE BAND OF BROTHERS ON THERE TEAM! HA

Anonymous said...

At least the DU players didn't do what members of certain other teams would do. Turtle!

the"source" said...

I don't think anyone from P.U. should talk about player being a turtle. After punkabitch broke his neck he hid on the bench behind his his pint sized coach. Th only time he was on the ice that game after the stretcher was when P.U. was on a power play. There is a code in hockey. It isnt hide on the bench and only come in when there is a powerplay

Again, you go from being a decent source of college hockey news to just another idiot trying to make it appear that you know something more than anybody else. Just stick with reporting the news and leave your preaching for another venue. I think when you look at college players in the NHL, UND has fewer 'goon' players than many of these supposed 'victim' schools that UND picks on.

I'm not embarrassed. Who's embarrassed? Last weekends games was one of the most exciting weekends of the hockey year. Both teams should be proud of their product, commitment, intensity, coaching staff, on and on......... Sioux fan.

Anonymous said...

Did you even see the games? Thirty seconds before Radkes Spearing he took about two or three shots in front of the net and one to the junk from the Denver player. Both should have been tossed when the gloves came off though

Chris is right and all the bitching about it by Sioux fans won't change the facts. The Sioux have been involved in a series of these situations and they seem to be the one constant. I don't see Wisconsin, DU or Minnesota getting involved in these issues on a consistent basis. It is only one team that is consistently involved in this kind of display.

I don't blame Sioux fans for trying to justify these acts even though everybody else under the sun can see it for what it is. After all, fans are generally going to look for the silver lining when their team does the wrong thing. But the Sioux have rightfully earned their reputation as a thug team and it really does make their program and the WCHA look bad. There seems to be a discipline problem in that program and it starts at the top with their coach.

You picked the wrong video version. The better version is from FSSN where Radke is coming from the locker room once he heard the crowd roar from the action on the ice. It was classic. He heard the crowd roar and he knew it was time for him to go to work. That's what we do. We stand up for each other when one of your teammates is being raped by multiple DU players.

Anonymous said...

Hockey fans, Stop picking on the Sioux, give me a freaking break.

Sioux, quit crying. Don't you think that its a little odd that all fights involve UND.

Anonymous said...

Bickel and a DU player got double-minor's for roughing the week prior. Other than the fact the guys drop the gloves and get DQ's what's really the difference?

In this case it looks like DU was involved 2 weeks in a row. And before that, MN was involved 2 weeks in a row with the Sioux and DU.

Zajac cross-checked Anderson, albeit after the whistle. Something that happens in just about every game by every team in hockey. Yes, it was the final horn, but the action was the same. Lucia took exception and started rumbling. I have no issue with this, but if the Sioux do the same thing then the Sioux are called hacks and goons.

Interesting how easy it is to make assumptions.

Anonymous said...

Look at the bright side. At least the flickertail fans have figured out this isn't Heisenberg's blog.

Anonymous said...

You're right, there is a common denominator: a team is getting manhandled and can't handle it resulting is frustration and cheep shit. Funny that this stuff never happens in games that the Sioux are getting beat. Gee, what could that possibly mean?

Anonymous said...

"the source".....

You've got to be kidding. Are you seriously bringing up Paukovich's name???? Dude, you are a clown. That incident ocurred 3 years ago I think. That is ancient history.....everyone else has moved on, except a few pathetic Sioux fans, yourself included. You're a sad excuse for a hockey fan if you are digging up crap from 2005.

Anonymous said...

The problem I think is the UND coaching staff...Hakstol seems to encourage such actions, and Eades is one of the more worthless goons that has ever stepped foot on the planet. Maybe they're all just pissed that they won't be able to be the Fighting Sioux for much longer?

Anonymous said...

A. Your blog is at it's best when you're posting facts, such as breaking news on player signings, injuries, or general hockey news. Your dislike for North Dakota has become quite obvious, but it takes away from the quality of your blog.

B. It was very obvious Radke was looking to drop the gloves on Saturday. With Bemidji St. coming in the following weekend, I'd guess he was thinking that was a good time to do it. There's a reason Radke was benched for such a long stretch this yr. In addition, Mannino needs to share some blame on this one. Pretty tough behind all that equipment, Petey...

C. The Sioux style of hockey doesn't give the WCHA a black eye (no pun intended). I think Randy Schmidt has taken care of that one on his own.

D. Whether you like the brand of hockey played by North Dakota or not, you can't deny the fact they are successful at the college level, and developing players for the next level.

E. Sioux Fans - Get over the Paukovich issue for crying out loud. Gwozdecky suspended him for it, Prpich retaliated, Greene settled it, and Bina is back producing for the Sioux. Move on already.

UND is currently on the longest win streak in the nation. So whatever they are doing its working pretty damn good.

Anonymous said...

UND can get bashed all they want. They are consistently at the top of the standings year after year. Minnesota Denver Wisconsin never fight back cause they dont have any tough guys on their teams. Mostly Minnesota though, who year after year recruits 12 superstar scoring forwards. Hey Minnesota, trying recruitng some role players and maybe you wont be in 8th place everyear

paulpuck22: The "knee on knee" contact that you refer to was less than what TJ could experience on a dance floor. I have seen many Sioux fans make reference to that as though Oshie was flying at full speed through the nuetral zone and was blindsided by knee to knee contact that would end the career of a mere mortal.

Urban legend is more like it. Review the tape. It appears as though both Oshie and Anderson take about two strides and come together as Oshie tries to sidestep Anderson. Both were barely moving forward with any momentum. To suggest that either one could have been injured at that moment is a total fabrication. Also a very weak attempt to justify the cheap shot on Anderson from behind by Zajac. You either obviously did not actually see what happened or you are being totally dishonest in order to try and fool people into thinking Oshie was unfairly attacked by Anderson with intent to injure.

Keep telling that lie chief, somebody might believe it.

Anonymous said...

UND, What a bunch of cheap, moronic goons. From the players to the coaches to the fan-base to the administration, this idiocy is not just tolerated but celebrated. It's too bad that the WCHA is too wimpy to punish this stupid dangerous behavior and suspend these jerks.

I'm a Sioux fan and this isn't hockey. I watch all(TV and live) Sioux games with my son and I fear all this is rubbing off on him because he looks up to these guys soo much. After the period I thought about leaving because I was so disgusted. Friday was one of the best games I've attended and then they follow it up with this crap. Come on guys!!! I agree that Hakstol needs more control over this team. I wouldn't oppose a lengthy suspension to him if we do this again this year.

You've got to be kidding me. Why is UND the Charlie Brown of NCAA hockey? Every post, no matter where their allegiance lies, seems to think Dave Hakstol made a deal with the devil. These guys aren't serial killers or rapists they are just hockey players. Chill. It seems to me that today's fanbase has forgotten what sport they are watching. This IS hockey. You complain about impressionable children following the league and you seem to ignore the fact that the sport's jewel, the NHL, condones and even encourages pugilism. You can give me shit about how the NCAA doesn't allow fighting, but when two zebras stand there and watch two guys go at it until they fall to the ice that kinda seems like they are letting them fight. IF it was truly illegal they would tackle them immediately and suspend them for more than a game. Grow up and watch basketball if you don't like the way the game is played you frickin' sally's.

Anonymous said...

This whole "we can't fight" or "should not tolerate fighting" is exactly why Canadians shake their heads when kids choose to play NCAA Hockey instead of opting to play in Canada. And last time I checked, Canadian Hockey was superior to U.S. Hockey.

Anonymous said...

Sioux fans can justify all they want, but anyone who follows hockey knows damn well there is an unwritten code that you don't repeatedly punch a guy when he's flat on the ice.

I have no problem with fighting or one guy kicking another guy's ass, as long as its done with honor. You dimwits who glorify Radke throwing haymakers at a guy prone on the ice need to get your heads out of your asses.

Anonymous said...

Look at how many UND posters rationalize their rooting interest with the old standby "but he/she started it".

I think Minnesota has the most narcissistic fan-base. But I now think they are surpassed by the delusional, paranoid ramblings of the North Dakota followers

Anonymous said...

Personally, I really don't have a problem with how North Dakota plays on the ice. Let the refs and the league sort it out if they feel there is a problem. Accept the punishment and move on. Same goes for No Dak fans continuing to complain about the Paukavitch incident. There is a process in place for dealing with on ice incidents that go beyond what is acceptable. The league has been relatively consistent in it's dealing with these incidents. Where I find inconsistency is in the discipline of a coach by the school and the players by the coach. The school suspends the coach for two games for one moment of indiscretion in a very emotional game but the coach only gives his own players one game for illegal off ice incidents. Incidents such as DWI and assaults are far more serious than one obscene gesture. Especially when we have a repeat offender. While I understand that there may be some legal technicalities and processes to follow before criminal determinations are made, I think it's pretty clear members of the team were engaged in activities worse that Hakstol's gesture. His finger can't hurt anyone. His acceptance of certain off ice behavior by relatively insignificant discipline may well result in a bigger problem and more damage down the line.

@tornado towers:

i wasn't talking about the cross check in the back to anderson. i'm talking about the sioux's overall game. they play physical. other teams can't handle it. their style gets other teams riled up.

if you wanna talk about that "cross check" to anderson, it wasn't even that bad. zajac gave him a little shot and anderson took a dive then flopped around on the ice like he got shot.

i've watched the replay and it looks like anderson purposly sticks out his knee to make contact with oshies knee.

So what is the code on players not taking off their helmets in the fight?

Unknown said...

also, how are these fights and scrums an embarrassment to the WCHA and NCAA hockey? if anything it's good for the game. incidents like these get people talking about the wcha and put NCAA hockey in the national spot light.

and for all of those saying hakstol needs to be held responsible, thats a bunch of crap too. hakstol is paid to win games. he has obviously taken the approach that playing physical wears down and intimidates other teams. it works. the sioux have been to the frozen 4 every year under hakstol. it would suprise me if other teams in the WCHA didn't start recruiting more physical players in order to compete with the sioux's style.

quit whining about the sioux just cause you're all jealous of their success.

to quote dan hawkins "It's division I (hockey)!"

Anonymous said...

UND hockey has had 7 major penalties and something like 17 ten minute misconduct penalties this year. Likely led by the biggest goon of them all in Finley. But their poor sportsmanship and over the top behavior during games is just a reflection on who leads their program. If Hakstol can't get a handle on his emotions behind the bench, why should anybody expect his players to have a handle on their emotions during a game? Hakstol is a far cry from what Dean Blais was at that school. Blais may have had some tough players but they generally didn't act like a bunch of goons.

UND seems to be a program that doesn't care about rules. Whether it is rules on the ice or laws off the ice. A real class act they have in Grand Forks.

Unknown said...

what laws off the ice are you talking about? i'm assuming you're talking about underage drinking tickets. if you are then you are ridiculous. these kids are in college and you don't expect them to act like college students? "oh my god college students are drinking". cry about it. get the stick out of your ass. that is by far the most dumbass comment i've heard on this website.

grand forks is a small town and the cops have nothing better to do than going around, busting parties and giving MIP's.

its not very hard to get underage drinking tickets in grand forks. i would know. i got 3 of them.

Anonymous said...

paulpuck22...I'm a huge Sioux fan and a season ticket holder, but let's take off the kelly green glasses for a minute. "The cops have nothing better to do than give out MIPs." The reality is when you're Bina, Toews, and Oshie, and you're playing in a town the size of GF, you make it very easy for law enforcement when you go out to a bar underage. The cops are not picking on our poor little Sioux players, these kids are finding trouble on their own. Regardless of what is ruled minor or major when it comes to breaking the law, or whether you or I did it when we were that age, if you get caught doing the crime, you serve the time.

As for the arguing on cheap hockey, being goons, etc, one thing that has been proven on this site by posters is all the 10 minute misconducts and 5 for fighting penalties the Sioux have taken. You know what, the refs are penalizing them for their on-ice behavior. They're serving their time in the box. At the same time, they're doing well on the PK and their style isn't hurting them. Until somebody shoves this style back in their face, or finds a way to use it against them, they're not going to change because it leads to success. Yeah, they're 0-3 in the last 3 frozen fours, but are all of you suggesting that you'd rather not make a frozen four and get beat, then make it and not get a title?!? When you continue playing on the national scene, it helps recruiting...even if you fall short of a title.

This whole situation makes one wonder. If Chris makes it a point to repeat this post, and his readers make it a point to state their hatred for the play of the Sioux, it leaves one interesting question. Does the attention to this subject result in Sioux opponents being more passive and intimidated? One could argue that's been the plan all along.

Anonymous said...

In the past couple of years, Sioux hockey players have gathered at a bar and drank underage. In addition, one of them found the urge to piss in an elevator.

In the past couple of years, Gopher football players have had a hard time with girls who say "no," and continued to sexually assault them. In another instance, they got the girl piss faced drunk so she couldn't utter the word "no" and went about their business....and also felt the need to call over a few buddies so they could join in on the fun. Another player gets arrested for assault at his hometown bar after the season ends.

Was it last year a group of Mankato St. hockey players get suspended for sexual assualt charges, and Kato barely has enough left to field a team?

Are more examples needed in our critique of poor behavior?

Much like the little Napoleon in Madison, the Gwoz is the problem at DU, not memories of Pauko. Take a look at the Fox Sports Rocky Mtn coverage and look at about the 52 second mark -- you will see him pushing his players INTO the Radke tussle to help out. Where's the love, boys? Ask Tyler Bruess about punching a downed man -- who isn't fighting back. The Gwoz interview betw/ periods only confirmed what I thot I saw. Lighten up y'all (BTW, no possum in ND). Guess we'll have to go to forearm/elbow attacks and skates-up slides a la Gordon and Wheeler. THAT'S classy hockey!

Anonymous said...

Interesting to note that after the melee at the end of the second period, UND got the power play to start the third.

Yes, they're a physical, take no s**t kind of team. But that's why the refs are there.

56 replies compared to 14 for hobey talk. if you all don't like fighting you sure like to talk about it. i think the Sioux play a spirited game of hockey and wish my team did the same. is it intimidation...? yes in my book. it's a throw back style that most teams have no answer for. seems like Chris and all the ND bashers are a wie bit sensitive to the big bad Sioux and their rough and tumble brand of hockey. do we want all MN-like pansies in this league...? NO! Go Mavs!!!

I suggest that you watch all of the Saturday night UND-DU game. You were obviously blinking at some inappropriate times. Early in the game after a whistle, the teams were changing lines. A DU player slashed a UND player in the back of the calf, dropping him to the ice. No call by the refs. If you watch the third period you will see Manino slash a UND player as he goes past the goal post and behind the net. There was no interference with Manino, no going lose to the crease, but Manino the butcher felt it necessary to slash someone with the goalie stick. Again, no call. You cannot simply use penalty minutes to make your bad judgments. There was a lot of DU stuff going on that simply wasn't called by Hunt. And that leads to more intensity later on and thus penalty minutes. Watch the stinking game.

Wow another stupid blog post. Seriously are you paid to write an idiotic post every once in a while?

My god we freaking get it you hate UND.

One thing to note is that the biggest complainers about UND is mostly coming from Gopher fans. I see a relation in the fact that well to say it bluntly. The Gophers are sucking some major donkey balls this season and so choose to talk and whine about other things than focusing on there team.

I agree whole-heartedly with DU fans who are telling UND fans to get over Paukovitch. I mean my god I was sure pissed at him but once he went pro and Bina fully-rehabilitated and Greene kicked his ass at some point you have to let go of the grudge. Your just pathetic if you still hold on to it.

It's also funny to note that you don't see many if at all any DU fans complaining about UND's style of play. The fact that they can own up that there own team had something to do with the brawl that happened and that it just wasn't all UND's fault is showing that they don't have there shades on 24/7.

Anonymous said...

I guess that UND can always use Paukovich as their bad ass whipping boy. Bina is back playing and getting his sorry butt thrown in the pokey several times because he isn't man enough to be a responsible citizen. What a sorry excuse.

Anonymous said...

Why would a team that is constantly winning provoke fights?

And exactly how isn't it thuggery when an entire team gangs up on 2 players after a period? Oh I see, it is thuggery when one of those shorthanded teammates comes out to back them up... that's is thuggery got it now.

Face some facts...
The Mankato fight was retribution from last year when Bruess cheap shotted Kaip with sucker punches

The Minnesota fight was not a fight

The Denver fight was the result of DU ganging up 15 on 2 on Sioux players

... if UND was not winning this would have never been written...

Spin it however you like,
DU got their asses kicked more ways than one last weekend chump, enjoy the downward spiral

Tell George "maybe its maybelline" Gwozdecky hello us, would ya?

As a Sioux fan, I have to agree. We should get over the Pauko incident...I mean who cares about cervical fractures, intense pain, the possibility of losing one's life, two years of physical therapy and all the other silly little things that goes through one's mind when one is faced with lifelong paralysis or death. Seriously, who was the coach of the Pioneers then anyway?

Now let's get back to the important stuff like how cheap it is to hit an opponent who won't take his helmet off while standing, falls to the ice like a Sally, and then gets hit while down on the ice. That's way more serious and underhanded then cervical fractures and what not.

Let's start a petition drive. Let's ask the WCHA to overturn Saturday's game results and award the win to DU. The official reason could be simply the Sioux engaged in too much rough-housing. Who's with me?

You just can't make this stuff up...A Sioux fan whinning about Peltier and claiming he went for a big hit against Oshie with 2 seconds left.

Well that theory has been hashed and rehashed but somehow it seems like the majority of the folks watching the video come up with RJ Anderson as the supposed aggressor.

The joke will be on the Sioux come NCAA time. When they get into a game with officials from Hockey East or the ECAC they will be cooked. It will be time to stick a fork into them.

You can't expect them to suddenly change their "style" of play in the NCAA's. So get ready to hear the whining from Sioux fans about how the referee's screwed them again.

Don't expect the referee's to accomodate the Sioux "style".

Tornado Towers,

At least they will be there come tournament time, probably in the Frozen Four. It appears that they have adjusted quite nicely over the years, having won 7 titles and being in the last 3 Frozen Fours. May I ask what school you root for? Can you say that your school has had similar success?

All that matters is this year, me boy. The past is the past.

I can see the Siouxage taking a dumb after-the-whistle penalty in a close NCAA game (maybe against BC...a team you can't beat there) and costing yourselves a goal and a win. Then I'd like to hear all the "its the Sioux way" talk.
I bet the crickets start chirping.

I get that you hate the Sioux - The Sioux are a hard hitting team -however they usually don't start the chippy crap - they do, however, usually end it. From the Mankato games I've seen over the last few years, your team is right in there instigating, especially last year - this year's rumble was unfinished business. I think your complaint isn't so much that the Sioux play physical hockey, it's that we're better at it. It's time for you to quit whining about the Sioux and shut your pie hole.

Anon. 9:53,
Hey chief, make sure that pencil has an eraser on it. Having pencilled your team into the Frozen Four at this stage is a bit premature. How many #1 seeds made it there last year?

This years version of the Sioux have no real connection to the past title winners at UND other than being the representative of tUND. It has been a few years since UND won a NC so just getting to the Frozen Four the last three years and losing doesn't impress me too much. You had a better team last season anyway.

My point was that once NCAA tourney time rolls around the Sioux will be at a distinct disadvantage in a game officiated by HE or ECAC referee's because they call a much tighter game than in the WCHA. Will the Sioux be able to reign in their natural tendencies? Time will tell.

Where my loyalties lie really aren't germane to the discussion. (But "Tornado Towers" does offer a clue)

I rather like the physical approach to the game that the Sioux have historically brought to the game. The cheapness I can do without. You know what I'm talking about so no need to re-hash. However, that cheapness I'm refering to never got Jim Archibald or Mike Prpch to far once they left UND.

My dad is tougher than your dad, grow up people. You do what you have to do to win. If that involves playing physically, and sometimes dirty, then you do it.

Tornado Towers,

I assume that you are referring to MSUM. What a joke. A fan of the cheapest team in the league virtually every year calling UND cheap. MSUM likes to run at other teams' stars and then cry foul when one of the many toolboxes on its team, like Bruess, gets called out. What a joke of a team. Do you still have that one banner for NCAA participation? Spout off if and when your team ever even makes it to a Frozen Four. I'm sure that Frozen Four appearances would not impress you, considering how many MSUM has had. The only reason that UND has players like Prpich is to protect players like Parise, Toews, Blake, Hoogsteen, Duncan, Oshie, Stafford and many, many other skill players that UND recruits (and MSUM historically cannot recruit) from the team full of ankle benders like MSUM.

Tornado Tower,

The Sioux did fine in the regionals last year where Hockey East officials were refereeing. I don't think it'll pose as big as a problem as you think it'll be. They were after all able to beat Michigan and Minnesota with Hockey East refs on the ice. If anything Michigan had the worst time with the Hockey East refs. They were on the penalty kill a crap load of times.

Tornado Towers...

How proud of your team are you if can't come out and state it? That's hilarious!

UND is nothing but thugs, instigators, cheap,.....and the team with the current WCHA offensive and defensive players of the week.

Get a clue, Radke was out of the box and near his locker when he came back to finish what Mannino started. Perhaps the DU player should use a defense other than laying down on the ice in hopes Radke will honor the "code".

Anonymous said...

So, when a DU player is on their back in a fight the opponent should just let them up in accordance with the "code"?

What about this:

Testwuide vs Gordon Jan 20, 2007
http://youtube.com/watch?v=xraJJRxlzdA

I don't see any letting up by the DU player when they're on top.

Nick.....you are a complete schmuck. I've been reading your BS over at the DU blog as well. Get your head out of your ass. A goalie taking a swipe at a position player is not nearly the same as whaling on someone flat on the ice.

And for all you jackasses referring to the Youtube video with Testwuide pounding on Gordon....he served a suspension, as well he should have, and should have pounded whoever ran the goalie, not Gordon. Many DU fans admit that, myself included.

It's the fact that Sioux fans never, and I mean never, admit their team is ever at fault or ever does anything worth criticizing. It's a joke. That's why the rest of college hockey can't stand you idiots.

Pretty easy to get some Sioux fans to take the bait. I've got direct connections to half of the teams in the WCHA. I was really only stating the obvious when assessing the Sioux's potential speedbumps on their way to #8.

Seems like many Sioux fans that come on and make comments always like to come across as really, really tough guys, just like their team. Wow, really cool. Always whining about how their "stars" are always the ones being picked on, in order to justify behavior that goes well beyond acceptable.

Nothing new though, the Sioux have always had teams that have played a similar style to this years team. I don't know why anybody would be surprised. The Sioux however have put themselves under the microscope with their on ice behavior. It will be quite fun to hear the whining coming from Sioux fans when their team gets screwed by the refs. Again.

I just love reading the whining and complaining non-Sioux fans post. I mean rather than focusing and commenting about your team you'd rather spend time complaining about an opponent. Hilarious!

Anonymous said...

Hey Einstien: Well the topic does pertain to the Sioux after all. Why would you expect comments about other teams? The topic addresses the coincidence of the Sioux being chronically involved in hooliganism on the ice.

Anonymous said...

No Shit Sherlock: I never said I'd expect reading comments regarding other teams. I was making a general statement that other people would rather talk about the Sioux than other things. I mean the last two Color Me Surprised posts were the highest commented posts on this mediocre blog. So obviously opponent fans as well as this blog writer enjoys talking about the big bad Sioux.

Pikes Peak,

If you are going to attempt to ridicule someone by sarcastically referring to them as "Einstein", you really should learn how to spell the name (It is not Einstien). Good one toolbox! I'm guessing you went to MSUM also?
