Two Badgers Trying Out for Canada

Hockey Canada announced their roster today for their World Junior team tryout camp, and two college players are on the list. Wisconsin freshmen Kyle Turris and Brendan Smith will travel to Calgary to participate in the tryout camp December 10-14.

The Badgers will have two weekends off after this weekend's series before hosting the Badger Showdown on December 28-29, meaning neither player will miss any game time unless they are selected for the squad.

Turris is almost guaranteed to make the squad, while Smith is likely more of a longshot.

Geoffrion, McBain, and McDonnagh will probably skate for Team USA leaving Bucky 'thin' for a few weekends. One of which is a series at home against CC
