Hollywood(-ish) News(-ish)

First off, former Minnesota-Duluth forward Mason Raymond was given a rather random mention on tonight's episode of How I Met Your Mother.

Second, I read this rumor on the Minnesota HS hockey forum, and thought there was no way it could be true. But alas, it is. Milo Ventimiglia, star of Heroes, and that dumbass from Gilmore Girls, was at Bloomington Jefferson High School last week, because his film company had optioned the movie rights to John Rosengren's book Blades of Glory, which chronicled the Jaguars through the 2000-2001 season.

It was a pretty interesting book, though I'm not sure how well it would adapt to the screen, since a lot of what made it interesting was backstory. Among the standouts on that Jefferson team was former Wisconsin Badger, and current Edmonton Oiler Tom Gilbert.

And Gray's Anatomy apparently.

Yes to Gilmore Girls (don't take away a guy card- I forced him to watch it). No to Grey's Anatomy. We just never got into that show.

And Jess wasn't a dumbass, he was merely misunderstood. And Dean was fricken annoying anyways. :p

Barf, I don't even watch Gilmore Girls. But then again, I might as well be a man.

Mason Raymond's name drop in How I met your mother is probably the most publicity any NHL player has gotten this season.

what did they say about mason on that show?

I like Gilmore Girls. Gray's not so much.

Jess and Dean were both annoying. Jess had the kind of smart-mouth arrogance that would have meant beatings on a daily basis in any public school.

Apparently HIMYM dishes out good karma - Raymond scored his first NHL goal last night.
