I'm a big fan of Ellen Degeneres' idea that the crawl on every 24-hour news station should just say 'Things are getting worse' over and over again. That's kind of the way things have gone for Bowling Green recently. They were the worst team in the CCHA last year. And then their bus got stuck in the snow. And then their leading scorer left for the pros. And then their top goalie recruit bolted for the OHL. And then the team puppy died in a freak hot-air balloon accident(probably).
All is not lost for the Falcons though. Most of the team from last year returns with the knowledge of how to pull a bus out of a ditch, and hopefully how to pull their team out of the cellar.

Bowling Green has Rudy, and Rudy wins championships, you do the math.
Eddie Neville got in trouble for stealing alcohol from a downtown BG bar in February. This is the same guy who got knifed walking home from a bar at 2:30 am in August.
