Toews Signs with Blackhawks

Jonathan Toews signed with the Chicago Blackhawks. This was fairly predictable after Toews played with Team Canada at the World Championships and won a gold medal. But I figured I'd post about it since Toews signed with the Blackhawks, meaning this is probably the last we'll hear of him.

Sad but true. The Hawks organization is where talent goes to be wasted and potential goes to be unfufilled.

Lets see Duncan win a hobey without Toews!

Better yet, let's see Duncan win a Hobey without Toews OR Oshie. Does anyone think in the end that Oshie does not play his next game in the same arena he played his last one?

Uhh...yeah. I don't think Oshie will play his next game in the same arena as his last one. He played his last one at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. He will play his next game at Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks.

annon 9:20,

So you really think Oshie is coming back then? I think by the time Summer rolls around and he is skating in the Blues prospect camp that he will be deciding that St Louis was a fun place to play his last game and a better place to play his next despite his public announcement.

Yes I think he is coming back. He said it, he's a good guy and he really loves UND, and he wants to come back and get #8. He will be back.

Yes, Oshie is coming back because he loves being a Sioux. Even though the blackhawks are not a great team, Toews will do great things there. And for Duncan, he can win another hobey without Toews. Toews makes the players around him play better, but it was all Duncan. He deserved that Hobey.
