Former Michigan hockey player Bob Gassoff, who is best remembered for his toughness and fighting ability, highlighted by his epic beatdown of current Alaska-Anchorage assistant Damon Whitten, has taken his services international.
Gassoff decided to end his hockey career early to become a member of the Navy SEALs. He is currently in the Middle East, involved in some sort of special operations.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch had a long article on Gassoff, and the Detroit Free Press also mentioned him.
