Alaska got a commitment from Ft. MacMurray(AJHL) forward Derek Klassen. He is an '86 birthdate, but has put up a lot of points in Alberta.

Academy of Holy Angels forward Chase Polacek committed to RPI. Polacek had an outstanding senior year, and was one of the better high school players in Minnesota this year.

Also, there are internet rumors that Hermantown HS defenseman Chad Huttel has committed to Minnesota-Duluth. I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere else, but it seems plausible enough to mention. The Bulldogs need another defenseman for next year. I thought Huttel played very well at the state tournament, though I also thought he'd benefit from a year or two of junior hockey.
