Minnesota State Tournament Set

All the section tournaments have been played, setting up the entrants into the Minnesota HS Tournament that will start on Wednesday.

Here is are the section winners for Class A:

Albert Lea, Duluth Marshall, St. Thomas Academy, Blake, Warroad, Little Falls, Hermantown, and Orono.

The top four teams will be seeded this year, with the other four being randomly placed in the draw. Marshall, St. Thomas, and Hermantown will likely all be seeded. The last seed will probably be a tough call between Warroad and Little Falls.

The section champions for Class AA:

Rochester Century, Burnsville, Woodbury, Grand Rapids, Edina, Roseau, Blaine, Hill-Murray.

My choice for seeds would probably be Edina, Hill-Murray, Grand Rapids, and Roseau. Edina is probably the new favorite, but as this weekend proved, anything can happen.
