Early Departures Part 5

This is shaping up to be a fun offseason for college hockey fans.

Western Michigan freshman Mark Letestu is reportedly considering signing a pro contract. Letestu was on the CCHA All-Freshman team this year. It would hurt the Broncos if he left, but it would make sense for Letestu to cash in while he has the opportunity. He had 24 goals and 22 assists this year, and will be losing second leading scorer Paul Szczechura to graduation. He's only a freshman, but an older freshman, as his birthdate is February 1985. If he did come back, he couldn't get that much more money, and would risk losing a lot of money.

Also of note, RIT sophomore Steve Pinizzotto signed with the Washington Capitals, along with Minnesota State star Travis Morin.
