Junior Hockey Blog found this article, which suggests the idea that a third team from Michigan might join into the OHL.
Obviously this would be bad for all of college hockey, but most of all, the CCHA. It would thin the talent pool even more in that area by providing more competition for players.
In my opinion, the Grand Blanc/Flint area wouldn't be as bad as Clarkston, or as Marc proposes, Auburn Hills. The Flint area isn't producing a ton of players, and it's far enough away that I don't think it would draw a ton of Detroit-area kids. Clarkston or Auburn Hills, however, might be close enough to Detroit to tap into that talent-rich area. Technically, Plymouth is also close to Detroit, but Plymouth isn't as close to the northern suburbs as Clarkston/Auburn Hills is.
