Riedel Leaves Ferris State

Forward Dan Riedel, who was the third leading scorer on Ferris State's team, is no longer with the hockey team.

Riedel played in last Friday's game at Wayne State, but did not play the second night of the series, and did not play last night when Ferris State hosted Nebraska-Omaha. There's a lot of wild rumors, but it seems most likely that it is something alcohol-related.

Riedel was considered a big recruit for Ferris State two years ago. He came to the Bulldogs from the USHL where he was the league's leading scorer as a 20 year old. He scored 31 points in 34 games last year for the Bulldogs, and was the team's third leading scorer.

Riedel will now likely try a future playing minor league professional hockey. Best of luck to him.
