Linkorama

St. Cloud is CHN's Team of the Week. Adam Wodon also features outstanding freshman Ryan Lasch.

The surgery on Dan Tormey's thumb was successful, which is great to hear. Tormey would probably like to return to the ice tomorrow if they'd let, but February is probably the earliest he can return. Blake Wheeler, whose skate cut Tormey, phone Tormey on Sunday night to check on his condition, which is a very nice gesture.

Lake Superior freshman Michael George left Lake Superior, after failing to qualify academically. Apparently there were problems with his high school in Canada in terms of meeting the NCAA's qualifications. It's a tough loss for LSSU and for George, who will move onto the UHL, which is a pretty grim way to make a living.

The Colorado Springs Gazette's Kate Crandall has some notes on CC, led off by Billy Sweatt's inclusion to the US World Junior Team.

North Dakota is healthy for the first time since the beginning of the season.

The Winnipeg Free Press profiled Jonathan Toews.

DJ Powers of Hockey's Future profiles Michigan State's Tim Kennedy.

Travis Zajac is featured on Hockey's Future's Calder Corner. Zajac has been great this year, but there's this kid named Malkin that's probably going to win the Calder this year.

INCH Hobey Tracker is up. No mention of Travis Morin despite his ridiculous performance this weekend against Minnesota. Seriously, when was the last time you heard of a forward playing half the game. But I'm glad they mentioned Scott Parse as their Hidden Hobey, because he's only the second highest active career scorer in the NCAA and was a Hobey finalist last season, so nobody has heard of him.

Let's Go DU copies an article on the great Keith Magnuson.

UAA Fan Blog was wrong about CC, along with the rest of us.

Pretty judgemental, eh? Who anointed you to judge Mr. George's occupation decision?

Apparently, after mulling it over, Jordy Murray is going to follow his SSM linemates to Wisconsin.

What's up with you neglecting the Mav Hockey Nation blog?!?!

1. I wasn't criticizing Mike George. I was just saying that the UHL is a rough place to play.

2. I know I've neglected MVN, and while it disappoints me, I'm gonna struggle to get anything up over here. My schedule frees up in about a week and then I'll give the Mav blog a little more attention.

3. The Jordy Murray thing hasn't been confirmed yet.
