Kessel Rumors Confirmed

I mentioned the ominous press release from the Kessel family earlier today regarding Phil Kessel. Throughout the day, rumors swirled about Kessel. Now it looks like at least one of those rumors have been confirmed.

CBS 4 in Boston is reporting that Kessel has been diagnosed with testicular cancer. The good news is that it sounds like it's the type of thing that was caught early enough that it is treatable and hopefully Kessel will be able to recover from this.

Best of luck to Phil as he tries to beat this.

As a proud Fighting Sioux fan, let me be the first to wish Phil good luck in this battle. I know he will come out on top. He is in my prayers.

As motivation Phil need look no further than what Lance Armstrong was able to do. Even though you play for the Bruins, nothing but best wishes kid.

Where is all the love from goofy nation? The One and done gets no love from the rodents for wearing the treassured M on his chest for a year.

Love from Gopher Nation:

The gopher faithful has mad love for kessel... regardless of whether he left early or was selfish in the locker room. All I can say is I'll never forget the hand to the ear when he got the game winner against the drunkin sconi's.

Kessel you the man, get better dude!

Apparently you've already forgotten that Kessel's goal against the "drunkin sconi's" wasn't a game-winner...but whatever.

Anyways, best wishes to Phil on a full recovery.

Real inpressive that "the One" (and done) scored one point and had more penalties than points against UW. His goal came against the JV goalie at a time that UW was reeling, but don't let that interfere with reality that he did little to nothing against the elite teams.

And yet Kessel is playing a regular shift in the NHL now. I guess 19 year olds that are playing a regular shift in the NHL must only be able to score on weak college teams. LOL, the above poster must be a moron.
